From a Novice to a Passionate Home Chef

A journey that started after I got married (12th February 2012)

I hardly knew cooking, except some basics. I got married and given kitchen and other responsibilities the very next day. Trust me, its difficult for a newly wed girl to handle everything alone. During that phase I was working full-time in a Non Banking Institution providing Gold Loan. I had no idea where to start of, as time passed by I gained courage and accepted this phase as a challenge
When I asked help from people, relatives and some friends about cooking and recipes, I hardly got answers. Most of them were either busy in their lives or said I don't remember. Without loosing heart I started cooking myself, I used to search recipes over internet and try each day
Days, months and a year passed by; we had to shift to Siliguri for my husband's job transfer. I became little sad with the fact that I will have to go far away from my parents who were living in Kolkata. At this point of life I had two choices, either stay back at Kolkata with my parents and continue my job or shift with hubby and start a new phase of life. So, I decided to move out with him. I left my job on 1st March 2013 and shifted to Siliguri, West Bengal India (10th March 2013)

By this time of life I had managed and learnt things on my own. I took over all responsibilities and with all ease, we got settled at our new house. Once everything got set I had ample time in hand. As a result I decided to use this time doing simple stuffs, things that will keep me busy and happy. I started working as freelance recruiter, freelance trainer and at home trying my hands on photography and cooking dishes for my Foodie Husband. He loves all different type of vegetarian food, though he is an eggetarian by choice. I got these recipes from internet and Facebook cooking groups. With all experiments and trials I started learning and giving shape to my new passion of cooking and photography.
I had always been a craft person so in between I also created scrapbook and a travel book for us

It was a difficult phase for a person like me.Learning things I never knew, leaving job and being a housewife. But he is the biggest support I got, he encouraged me to follow what I like, he gave me the freedom to do what I wanted, he gave me the strength to become what I am today

This journey of a Novice Cook to a Home Chef would not have been possible if Siddhartha didn't give me the courage to cook everything I wanted. He has been my critic and my pillar of strength for all crazy things I do. So without a second thought I must acknowledge that the credit of bringing out the best of cook in me, goes to "Mr Siddhartha Rupramka" that's my darling husband

Thank You Hubby..!! You are the Best
